La luna es el objeto astronómico más fácil de observar desde la tierra. Tiene un gran tamaño aparente y un brillo superficial elevadísimo. En la imagen de alta resolución se aprecian claramente los detalles de sus cráteres. Esta sería una imagen muy parecida a la que veríamos a través del ocular de un telescopio.
